Observe the suspect at least over a time of three weeks, without being spotted, do so by for example waiting close to your victims house, while you do this try to fit into the scenery. Look as “normal” as possible like you are there for any reason that has NOTHING to do with the suspect you are observing. Otherwise the suspect will become suspicious which will most like result in the fail of your plan.

Follow your the suspect without being detected, you can practice this with ordinary stranger in your city. Try to follow the people without being noticed by them. This is a good training exercise the more often you do that the more successful and confident you will become.

Avoid observation techniques or tricks you have seen in spy movies, because they mostly DONT WORK!

Do not try to sit or stand around in a cheap coat with a cheap hat reading a newspaper.

It will make you look like a fucking Christmas Tree glowing in the dark, instead you should try to blend in as naturally in the surrounding scenery as possible.

Act like you have something way different and completely normal up your mind than stalking someone.

If you should ever get spotted, DO NOT PANIC! Remember to act like you would plan to do something way different, you are not stalking someone here.

Anyway if it should ever be necessary to gain a bit more distance to you target, you can enter a near by shop for a few seconds or enter a building entrance. The important thing here is, to do this in a way that your target DOES notice this. Because if your target sees that you stop following it because you enter a shop or a building, than this will ease your target. Out of eyes out of mind, is the motto here, important for you on the other side is, that you DONT loose track of your target. You should exit you cover after a few seconds, or as soon as your target has become unaware of your presents again. Important is that you resume the observation while you still have a sight on your target, otherwise it if you loose track it can be very difficult to relocate your suspect again. This counts especially for crowded or populated areas, like shopping malls or public events.

On the other these places have some advantages, since you can easily vanish in the crowd and use other people or shops for cover. The goal of this spy game is to gain information about your target.

Learn the behaviors and habits of the individual, by this you can gain useful information about rather your target is a cautious and paranoid person or not.

Once you feel like you have learned enough about you suspect, end the observation and leave the area as normal as possible.
